AP Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has given its consent to ‘Fiber Grid Project’ which paves way for the state-of-the-art optical fibre network in the 13 Seemandhra Districts. This project felicitates Internet access for 1.3 Crore Homes in the state at a speed of 10-15 Mbps. For internet connection, Just Rs 150 per Home will be collected by the Government.
Government have plans to register Andhra Pradesh Fiber Grid Corporation as a public company. The Fiber Grid Project aims providing optical fibre network to villages and remote places as well. Rs 10 crore has been allotted for this ambitious project as initial investment.
Barely two months ago, Chandrababu Naidu openly announced his plans to provide internet access to all the homes in Andhra Pradesh. The ‘Fiber Grid Project’ is his first step towards fulfilling his promise. On any day, Naidu is the best tech-savvy CM this country has ever seen!
