Few backdrops always lead to creating interesting films and one such thing is the Hindu-Muslim centric story. From Jodhaa Akbar to Maniratnam’s Bombay, Ishaqzaade to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, films that have this inter-religious theme always did well at box office.
And now, the writer of acclaimed Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Vijayendra Prasad, is said to be coming up with another film whose theme is the backdrop of India and Pakistan. After listening to the story, we hear that Vishnu Manchu agreed to do this film under the direction of this Baahubali writer himself.
Shedding more light on the project, a source in the know shared, “The story deals with an Indian youth, a Hindu, falling in love with a Pakistani Muslim girl. It is all about how the guy wins the heart of that girl by going to Pakistan all the way and gets married to her”.
Well, it seems like many writers these days are suddenly infatuated with India-Pakistan stories after the super success of Bajrangi Bhaijan. Apart from Vijayendra Prasad and Manchu Vishnu’s supposed project, we have Puri Jagan’s Mehbooba and director Jayanth Paranji’s upcoming new film also dealing with a similar theme.
