The corporate sector in India is facing a big mess because of growing attrition rate and large amount of lay offs from the tech giants in Industry. Following the recent breakdown of contract between Vishal Sikka lead Infosys and RBS, more than 3000 employees were left clueless as they have been directed to bench.
And the latest we hear is that IT company Cisco Systems to cut down workforce by around 14000 in not-too distant future. Also, the globally renowned companies including Microsoft and Ralph Lauren to cut over jobs worldwide. All these tragic moves are a follow up to failed deals, contract breaches, unfulfilled achievements and deadlines. While many companies are still seeing attrition as serious problem, the top leadership have no other option leftover.
Automation in IT field is need of the hour, as we see everyday with our man power struggling with deadlines, re-coding and an overall poor usage of productive time. Is the departure phase a beginning of rehashing IT sector in India or an end of it is what remains to be seen.
