Shriya Saran rose to fame with her Telugu stint. Later she got promoted to Bollywood and is being busy there. She is doing Telugu films randomly. Shriya is maintaining perfect figure and physique so that her age is hidden and she gets good roles.
However her recent role in Gopala Gopala is creating a headache for her. The movie has got good attention in Bollywood as it is a remake of Hindi Super hit, Oh My God. However Bollywood media is prominently publishing that Shriya has got old and she played a mom in the movie.
This negative publicity is affecting Shriya’s chances they say. In one of the interviews, she turned furious and breathed fire on the scribes, “Yeah, I played a mom. So what? How does it matter really? I’m an actor and it’s my job to act.
It was a beautifully etched character and why would I not take it up? I have no qualms playing any character as long as it inspires me,” Elaborating further on why she played the mother of a ten year old opposite Venkatesh in Gopala Gopala. Shriya got good applause for the role in the movie even if its a very limited one.
Gopala Gopala is her second outing beside Venkatesh after their Subash Chandrabose movie years ago. Further in the same interview, Shriya also mentioned that she has no plans to marry and settled down any sooner.
