Government Responds to Tirupati Stampede Tragedy with Support and Investigation


The recent stampede tragedy during the Vaikuntha Ekadashi celebrations in Tirupati has deeply affected the community, with many lives lost and several others injured. In response to the crisis, the government has announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹25 lakh to the families of the deceased.

Revenue Minister Anagani Satyaprasad, along with Home Minister Anita and other state officials such as Anam Ramanayana Reddy, visited the victims at Ruya and SWIMS hospitals. They reassured the public that the government would provide better medical care for the injured and expressed their heartfelt condolences to the grieving families.

The ministers also pledged to conduct a thorough investigation to uncover any lapses or foul play that may have contributed to the devastating incident. Home Minister Anita emphasized that those found accountable for the tragedy would face stringent action, reinforcing the government’s commitment to preventing such incidents from occurring in the future.
