In what can be the heights of stupidity, BJP’s newly-elect Rajya Sabha MP and party’s spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao has made shocking comments. GVL has claimed that BJP will come to power in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana by scoring victory in the forthcoming general elections.
It is well-known fact that BJP hardly has any foothold in AP or Telangana. Although it had some foothold in Telangana, the party had lost even that in the subsequent years. While TRS, Congress play dominant roles in Telangana, TDP and YSRCP are the main contenders for power in AP. BJP was in power in AP from 2014 to 2018, only because of TDP’s support that was now lost after TDP quit NDA over Special Category Status issue and the gross injustice meted out to AP.
In fact, GVL didn’t stop there. He claimed that the CMs of 8 non-BJP ruling states are “fearing” of BJP. The Beleaguered BJP has lost its sheen pan India after the imposing Demonetisation, GST. In addition to this damage, the Kathau, Unnao rape incidents, that invited public anger across the country, have further fuelled anti-Modi wave in the country.
BJP has already become negative in South India due to its stand on several crucial issues, and its negligence towards Southern states, its requirements. At this juncture, GVL’s claim to come to power in AP, Telangana is merely dubbed as a joke. Netizens, social media bloggers are countering him saying whether BJP would at least get single-digit number in AP and Telangana directly.
