The wait is over — Hari Hara Veera Mallu, one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, has finally hit the big screens today. Set against the backdrop of the Mughal era, the film presents Pawan Kalyan in a fierce and commanding role as a warrior who dares to rise against the tyranny of Emperor Aurangzeb.

The narrative sheds light on a dark chapter in history — the imposition of the oppressive Jizya Tax on Hindus, the systemic injustice inflicted upon them, and the massive looting of India’s wealth by the Mughals. Through gripping storytelling and powerful visuals, the film aims to reclaim forgotten truths and honour the spirit of resistance.

On release day, Pawan Kalyan took to social media to share the soul of the film:

“The Jizya tax, a punitive levy imposed by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb on Hindus for practising their faith, stands as a stark symbol of oppression, yet historians have long softened its brutality. #HariHaraVeeraMallu boldly unmasks this injustice, exposing the erasure of Hindu suffering and the looting of India’s wealth, like the Kohinoor’s theft. With unwavering resolve, this saga celebrates Sanatana Dharma and the courage of our unsung heroes who defied tyranny.”

With thunderous premieres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film opened to packed houses and is expected to maintain strong momentum over the weekend.

Directed by Jyothi Krisna and Krish Jagarlamudi, Hari Hara Veera Mallu features Bollywood actor Bobby Deol in the role of Aurangzeb, while Nidhhi Agerwal plays the female lead. With its compelling narrative and grand visual spectacle, the film is not just entertainment — it’s a tribute to courage, culture, and truth.
