2018 turned out to be a nightmarish one for Mass Maharaja who suffered a hat-trick of disasters.All of his 2018 releases turned out to be outright duds at the box office. It started with Touch Chesi Chudu, which looked like an out and out commercial entertainer prior to its release.
However, it ended up as a boring fare and eventually became one of the biggest flops in the actor’s career.Nela Ticket that released in summer couldn’t capitalize on the season advantage due to disastrous content.Kalyan Krishna who scored back to back hits with Soggade Chinni Nayana and Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam messed it up in his third attempt at direction. Nela Ticket also collected more or less the same as Touch Chesi Chudu.
Despite back to back disasters, Raviteja raised hopes with Amar Akbar Anthony that looked promising from the outset. But director Sreenu Vaitla who is totally out of form lately has made a film that couldn’t impress at all.Amar Akbar Anthony’s dismal show on Saturday and Sunday makes it clear that the film is heading for a massive flop.After bouncing back with Raja The Great last year, Raviteja’s career graph has taken a nose-dive this year.
Mass Maharaja should be very careful with his choice of scripts and needs to bounce back very strong ASAP.
