Hatred to support, Pawan comes a long way!

There are no permanent friends or foes in politics – goes the famous adage. It applies to all political parties in the country.

Even the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Communists, who had been known in the past for their ideological commitment, are no exception, as they had made friends with enemies and vice versa.

We have recently seen how the Communist Party of India (CPI), which had fought against the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in 2008 December assembly elections and accused the TRS government of massive corruption in Kaleshwaram project, is now extending support to the same party in Huzurnagar assembly by-elections.

Now, Jana Sena Party chief and actor Pawan Kalyan has joined the bandwagon of these parties. All these years, he had been hating the Congress party for dividing the combined Andhra Pradesh in 2014.

He vigorously campaigned against the Congress in 2014 assembly elections and even joined with the Bharatiya Janata Party in calling for a Congress-mukth Bharat.

In Andhra Pradesh, too, he asked the people to throw the Congress party into the Bay of Bengal, lock, stock and barrel.

Five years down the line, the political scene in AP and Telangana has changed completely.

Pawan Kalyan himself has been rejected by the people though he still has some fan following in the Telugu states. So, there are no takers even if he gives a call to reject or accept any other political party.

On Friday, the same Congress, which Pawan had opposed in 2014, approached him seeking his party’s support in the by-elections to Huzurnagar assembly seat to be held on October 21.

Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao went to Jana Sena party’s office in Hyderabad and asked the party’s support to PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy’s wife N Padmavathi, who is contesting in Huzurnagar.

Will Pawan Kalyan agree to this offer from Congress as he recently fell out with TRS? Will Pawan Kalyan become a supporter of Congress?
