AICC has dismissed the charge of the YSR Congress honorary vice president Y S Vijayamma that her son and party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was targeted by the CBI at the instance of the Congress party.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, AICC official spokesperson Manish Tiwari has said that neither the Congress party, nor the government was any connected with the investigation CBI has taken up on the disproportionate assets of the Kadapa MP. He said the agency had taken up the investigation on the directions of Andhra Pradesh High Court. He said it was improper to state that Congress was responsible for it. He said his party never interfered with the process of law.
It may be mentioned here that Vijayamma has met the Prime Minister here on Wednesday and complained to him that CBI was haunting Jagan and her family members at the behest of the ruling party.
