Upcoming biopic of late heroine Savitri boasts a stellar cast when it comes to the celebrities who will be reprising the roles of other celebrities. Except for super starlet Samantha, every other actor will be seen reprising the role of some other veteran celeb.
While Keerthi Suresh plays Savitri and Dulquer Salman will be seen as Gemini Ganeshan, Prakash Raj plays Nagi Reddy, Vijay Devarkonda plays ANR, Shalini Pandey will be seen as Jamuna and so on. And we have Mohan Babu roped in to play the role of late SV Ranga Rao. There comes an interesting snippet.
Looking at this casting, many think that heroine Samantha who plays the role of a journalist will be charging more than anyone else. But we hear that it is Mohan Babu who outplayed all by taking home a cool 75 lakhs to work as SV Ranga Rao. Though Mohan Babu hasn’t demanded such price, we hear that Ashwini Dutt gave him such a fat paycheck keeping the pride of their banner in view.
Directed by Dutt’s son-in-law Nag Ashwin, #Mahanti originally aimed March release but now the film got pushed to May 9th.
