Common man’s weapon PIL and Right To Information (RTI) act is now trying to findout the amount of debt Lord Venkateswara of Seven Hills Tirumala has taken from Lord Kubera (God of Money). T.Narasimha Murthy, bangalore based RTI activist filed a PIL seeking information from Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam, on how much money Lord Venkateswara borrowed from Lord Kubera and how much has been cleared with the help of donations and offerings from devotees.
Speaking to scribes in Bangalore he said devotees have been offering generously to clear the debt of Lord Venkateswara and he would like to know further how many years they should offer to clear all the debt. He filed petition on Feb 6 2012 to TTD. However he didnot get any reply from him but he vows to fight it out till he gets the information.
