War 2, a recent Hindi release starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR, was touted as one of the biggest multi-starrers in the country. However, the film failed to meet expectations and ended up disappointing fans.
Hrithik Roshan faced criticism for his portrayal of Kabir, with many fans feeling the role did not live up to their expectations. Director Ayaan Mukerji also came under scrutiny, with fans openly expressing their dissatisfaction during promotional events.
At a recent event attended by both Hrithik and Ayaan, fans openly criticized the director. Hrithik, however, seemed to take a more measured approach. Taking to social media, he shared his thoughts and indirectly defended Ayaan, emphasizing the positive experience he had while working on the film.
Hrithik revealed that playing Kabir was “fun” and “relaxing,” as the role was straightforward and familiar, without the intense stress that some other characters require. He praised Ayaan’s direction, describing the atmosphere on set as perfect and energized. Hrithik wrote, “Playing Kabir was so much fun. So relaxed, knew him so well. It was going to be easy. Finally, a movie I could do like so many others do — keep it simple, play the actor, do your job and come home. And it was exactly that. I was taken care of so well by my director Ayaan. It was such a pleasure to have his energy on set.”
He further reflected on the balance of taking it easy while acting, stating, “A voice kept telling me, ‘This is too easy… I know this too well.’ But then another voice said, ‘I deserve it. Every film doesn’t have to be a torture and trauma or an incessant search for the truth of the moment… just relax.’”
On the work front, Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for his next projects, Alpha and Krrish 4, continuing to impress fans with his versatility and screen presence.
