One of the senior most and the highly successful writers in Tollywood, KV Vijayendra Prasad, had been finally relieved from the 4-year long cheque bounce case. It is well known that Chengala Venkatrao, the ex-MLA of the Payakaraopet constituency in Visakhapatnam district filed a case against the senior writer in the Yalamanchili court.
Yesterday, the justice at the AJFCM Court has nullified the case, much to the relief of Rajamouli’s father. Chengala Venkatrao, the producer of Balayya’s Samarasimha Reddy and NTR’s Narasimhudu, filed the case after the cheque for 30 lakhs given to him by Rajamouli’s father bounced in Andhra Bank on May 16th 2011.
Arguments have been going on for the last 4 years and following the petitioner’s counsel failing to provide necessarily proofs to show Vijayendra Prasad guilty, the judge has finally cancelled the case. Yesterday, the senior writer attended the court’s final hearing along with his lawyers.
