Hyderabad police have registered a case against actress Dimple Hayathi and her husband, Victor David, following a complaint by their domestic worker, 22-year-old Priyanka Bibar from Odisha. The complaint was lodged at the Film Nagar Police Station.
Priyanka began working at their Shaikpet residence on September 22. She alleged that she was verbally abused, humiliated, and not provided proper meals during her employment.
On September 29, an argument reportedly escalated into threats and physical assault. Priyanka claimed that Victor David broke her phone when she attempted to record the incident, and her clothes were torn during the scuffle.
This is not the couple’s first run-in with the law. In 2023, they were involved in a dispute in Jubilee Hills, during which a police officer’s car was damaged.
The new case has been registered under Sections 74, 79, 351(2), and 324(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and investigations are ongoing. So far, neither Dimple Hayathi nor Victor David has made any public statement regarding the matter.
Dimple Hayathi is known for her roles in films like Khiladi, Gaddalakonda Ganesh, and Ramabanam. She is also set to appear in Sharwanand’s upcoming period drama Sharwa 38, directed by Sampath Nandi.
