Last week YSR Congress led Andhra Pradesh government transferred 42 IAS officers at one go and now it did one more mass transfers. Around 30 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) were transferred. AP DGP Gautham Sawang passed on the order of 30 DSPs transfer on Friday morning and all of them were asked to report at Police headquarters in Mangalagiri.
Before the elections, the previous government has appointed 30 DSPs to various roles and taking this into consideration, AP government directed AP DGP for this transfer. The government sources claim that many of the officials are facing corruption charges and were biased towards the TDP government.
Sathenapalli, Mangalagiri, Palamaneru, Nellore (town), Vijayawada (Central), Nandigama, Nuzivid, Guntur DSPs were in the special focus. They are heard to have troubled the YSRC party during the elections time.
Around six DSPs within the intelligence wing are also transferred. Intelligence chief Steven Ravindra is making sure to form his own team and as he maintains cordial relation with Jagan, the AP CM has given him full authority to do changes in the intelligence department.
