
Telangana police have received multiple complaints regarding online film piracy, particularly targeting the long-running website iBomma. In a significant development, authorities arrested the website’s founder, Immadi Ravi, last night.
According to reports, Ravi was taken into custody by the Kukatpally CCS police upon his return from France. Investigations have revealed that he had been operating the piracy platform from Caribbean islands. The police are currently questioning him for further details.
Several film producers had lodged complaints against iBomma for uploading newly released movies on the very day of their theatrical debut. More information on the arrest and subsequent legal actions is expected soon.
