Sometime back, the news has come out that music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, younger son of music legend Ilayaraja has converted to Islam. After his mother’s death, Yuvan found inspiration in the new religion and reportedly confirmed that he found new peace and inner meanings after practicing Islam.
Latest buzz is that Yuvan changed his name too. Abdul Haliq is his new name and he picked that name as per Islamic beliefs. Earlier Yuvan has indicated that he is considering name change, but revealed that his father is not happy with his conversion to Islam and this name changing stuff. Though his brother and sister-in-law agreed to his beliefs, still Ilayaraja has to come to terms with this.
However, Yuvan has confirmed about his conversion of religion but hasn’t clarified about this name yet. Kollywood sources however stated that he will be using that name from upcoming Surya’s movie ‘Masss’ being directed by Venkat Prabhu.
