Incubator for Telangana films

After delay from Telangana state government to frame-up Telangana Film Development Corporation, local filmmakers are determined to assist themselves. 

A team of well known Telangana film activists are planning Telangana Film Foundation (TFF), an independent body that will fund films produced by filmmakers from Telangana Attempts are on to increase a corpus of Rs 10 crore for the purpose, informs Sanayadireddy, who is tipped to become the Chairman of the proposed TFF. 

Andhra-born financiers finance a most of Telugu movies being made. And many apt filmmakers from Telangana region fight to find willing producers to support them. Prominent film producers have been developing a roadmap for TFF. 

The plan is to make a friendly eco-system for Telangana cinema to flourish. Once a script is accepted, the TFF will assist in budgeting, shooting and releasing the movie. It’s a welcome move as it will make a platform for young filmmakers to get necessary monetary support to flourish Telangana-centric films. And also, such a foundation could bring in potential investors.
