Summer is going to one busy season for the film industry. The season will begin with the release of S/O Satyamurthy which will release on April 9.
April 17 will see the release of Uttama Villain and Dilquer Salman’s much-awaited film Ok Kanmani or Ok Bangaram.
A little later, 24th will see the release of Naga Chaitanya’s Dochey. Balayya will have his release on April 30. May will start off with the release of Kick 2.
As of now, there is no slot for Rudrama Devi. However, the unit is working on finishing post-production work in London and they hope to release it at the earliest. But they have a bit of a problem as April 30 will see the release of Lion and the week after Kick 2 is scheduled for release.
The big films apart, there are other films like Ram’s Pandaga Chesko, Daagudu Moota Dandakor among others. These will be followed by Mahesh’s film and Baahubali.
So the industry is busy trying to adjust dates and schedule them as per convenience. Also, there is the problem of getting the right theatres. Though so many dates have been finalized, nothing is confirmed as yet, say trade analysts.
Meanwhile, Kalyanram says he has no issues with pushing his film by a week for the sake of his uncle Balayya.
Well, so it is all about dates and adjusting them for now for the entire Telugu film industry.
