Inside Talk: YS Bharati the reason for Sharmila’s new party?

For a few days now, rumours and speculations of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy‘s sister, YS Sharmila, establishing a party of her own, have just increased inexplicably.

She even held a meeting with all of her fans and followers, at Lotus Pond recently, and said that the meeting was not for her to speak, but for her to listen to the problems that the people are facing in the state.

When asked about her plans to establish a party, Sharmila questioned why she should not establish a party, cementing in the hearts of many people the idea that Sharmila is indeed planning to establish a party.

Interestingly though, Sharmila is looking to establish her own party in Telangana and not in Andhra Pradesh. as she feels that there has been a dearth in the state after the passing of her father, especially for the farmers. Sharmila said that farmers used to live like kings during her father’s time, and that she wishes to see them live like that once again.

On the other hand, it is also being said that the main reason for Sharmila wanting to start her own party is because Jagan has not been giving her due importance in the YSRCP. Jagan had promised to give her a Lok Sabha seat in 2019, and then a Rajya Sabha seat in 2020, but failed to keep either of his promises.

On top of that, it is being said that there are several clashes between Jagan’s wife Bharati and Sharmila, especially when it comes to yielding power. Bharati is said to have made sure that Sharmila does not have any power as she does not want to risk Sharmila taking the CM seat, in case Jagan has to go to jail for some reason, during his tenure.

Sharmila’s husband, Brother Anil Kumar, is also said to have been insulted several times, within the party and within the family as well, which did not sit well with Sharmila. There are alsos said to be several differences between Sharmila and Jagan, when it comes to property sharing, especially the property that they have in Telangana.

All of these factors are said to have driven Sharmila towards wanting to start her own party. However, given that she’s planning to start her party in Telangana and not in Andhra Pradesh, her decision or party cannot be considered in total retaliation or competition to that of Jagan’s.
