Nandamuri Hari Krishna, the estranged brother-in-law of the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu is said to be making efforts to launch a political party once again. It is also being said that the YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has become very happy at the development as TDP votes would be split between the two, benefiting his party.
It may be recalled that Hari Krishna was very unhappy at the way Naidu has been projecting his son Lokesh as the future leader, against his own son Jr. NTR who is more charismatic. Though Hari Krishna attended the recent Maha Nadu of the party, he refused to wear the scarf of the party. Jr. NTR excused himself from the Maha Nadu totally, by stating that he was not invited.
Now reports are doing the rounds that Hari Krishna was thinking that it would be good to launch a party and campaign that Naidu had given a go-by to the ideals of TDP launched by his late father N T Rama Rao. Sources said he was no longer in a mood to bear the insults being heaped on him and his son.
There is also another possibility, say political sources. If his health does not permit launching a party and vigorously campaign for it, Hari Krishna may campaign for some leaders who left TDP and joined other parties as they too felt that NTR’s ideals were diluted by Naidu. Kodali Nani who is a close follower of Hari Krishna and Jr. NTR joined the YSR Congress, charging that Naidu bade bye to the ideals of NTR. If Hari Krishna decides to campaign for NTR followers, he may opt to campaign for leaders like Nani who are now in the YSR Congress, say sources.
It may be mentioned here that Hari Krishna had turned against Naidu earlier also and launched Anna Telugu Desam. But that venture flopped. However he might once again launch a party or work for those who left the TDP on NTR’s ideals, say sources. It is learnt that Hari Krishna has already started hectic parleys with his followers. Though his health might not permit to campaign for the new party, his followers are encouraging him to launch it, as NTR could take care of the campaign. It is being said that a decision would be taken very soon.
