A sensational allegation that Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s sister Sharmila was not a Christian is being discussed in political circles here.
Telangana Christian Associations Federation President Jerusalem Mathaiah has alleged that Sharmila was not a Christian. He said her performing a Puja to river Godavari and breaking of coconuts was against the tenets of Christianity and even an affront to the religion. He said this itself showed that Sharmila was not a Christian.
He said Sharmila and her family members were adopting all religions to protect their family properties and hoodwink the people. He said the family which claims to be Christians was occupying Christian properties. Stating that river Godavari was desecrated by the touch of Sharmila, Mathiah asked the Hindu brethren to cleanse the river and the place where she performed pujas.
