Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani’s only daughter Isha Ambani has been engaged to Anand Piramal, son of corporate magnates Ajay Piramal and Swati Piramal. Isha will tie the knot with Anand in a grand and lavish wedding ceremony in December 2018. Sources close to Ambanis have confirmed the development on Sunday (May 6, 2018). With this, wedding bells are ringing at Ambani’s residence Antilia.
However, it is not an arranged marriage. Apparently, it is a love-cum-arranged marriage. Anand and Isha have been long-time friends and both the families have known each other for over four decades.
Anand reportedly proposed to Isha at a temple in Mahabaleshwar. Isha with the consent of her parents said to have given her nod. Anand’s father Ajay is the founder of Piramal Realty, one of India’s leading real estate companies.
Born on October 23, 1991 to Mukesh and Nita Ambani, 26-yr-old Isha has studied in Yale University. She is the darling daughter of one of the world’s richest business tycoons Mukesh.
With over 40 Billion USD, Mukesh Ambani topped the 121 Indian billionaires in Forbes’ billionaires list 2018. Mukesh Ambani, the energy and petrochemicals magnate, who keeps his standing as the richest Indian, is richer by 16.9 billion USD in 2018 with assets of 40.1 billion USD. He moved up to the 19th global rank on the list of 2,208 billionaires worldwide compiled by Forbes. In 2017, he was ranked at 33rd with 23.2 billion USD.
