As the Telangana assembly is taking a polite debate over naming the Shamshabad Airport after NT Rama Rao, BJP leader Kishan Reddy lambasted the national Congress for deliberately changing the name NTR to Rajiv Gandhi when the airport was shifted from Begumpet to Shamshabad. He said that congress made a grave mistake by dropping the NTR’s name which is fueling a controversy today.
Kishan Reddy asked why congress named each and every scheme after Rajiv Gandhi and Indhira Gandhi and why it had not considered names like Komaram Bheem. He in the house clearly said that Congress many times kept continuing this name-changing spree. Kishan Reddy alleged that Congress never treated great people in India as great except their family members. He appealed to the house to unanimously request the central to consider the names Komaram Bheem and PV Narasimha Rao.
