Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, president of the YSR Congress Party, recently visited the undivided Visakhapatnam district. During his tour, he attended wedding ceremonies at the residences of several party leaders and interacted with local cadres.
On this occasion, Jagan held detailed discussions with key leaders regarding the current political situation and the organisational strength of the party in the district. He advised them to focus on strengthening the party structure at the grassroots level and emphasised that party posts should be given to those workers who are actively contributing to the party’s growth.
Jagan reportedly made it clear that leaders who work sincerely for the party will be given priority and recognition. He also pointed out that the next three years will be crucial for the party’s future and asked leaders to remain committed and proactive.
During the interaction, Jagan urged constituency-level leaders and party workers to reach out to people more actively and highlight what he described as the failures of the coalition government. According to sources, he expressed confidence that public support for the YSRCP is gradually increasing while dissatisfaction with the ruling coalition is also growing.
Therefore, he called on party leaders and cadres to strengthen their connection with people at the grassroots level. Jagan also voiced strong confidence that the YSRCP would return to power in the next elections.
Party sources say that his remarks have boosted the morale of workers. Leaders believe that if the directions given by the party leadership are implemented effectively, the YSRCP can regain its earlier strength in the North Andhra region.
