Jagan Criticizes Naidu, Faces Questions on Continuity of AP Projects

Share

YSRCP chief and former Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy recently criticized current CM Chandrababu Naidu, claiming that Naidu takes full credit for developing areas like Hyderabad’s Hi-Tech City. Jagan argued that the foundations were laid by leaders such as Nedurumalli Janardhana Reddy and later advanced by YSR, eventually resulting in the city’s full development.

However, this has raised an important question: If Jagan believes in growth as a continuation process carried forward by successive governments, did he follow the same principle during his tenure as AP CM?

In reality, Hi-Tech City largely took shape during Chandrababu Naidu’s nine-year rule. Even Naidu acknowledged that YSR did not halt ongoing projects, which allowed developments like the Outer Ring Road and PV Expressway to materialize. Later, after Telangana’s formation, KCR contributed further to its growth.

If Jagan cites YSR and KCR’s continuity-driven governance as a model, critics are asking whether he applied that logic when he assumed power in Andhra Pradesh. Social media users point out that many of Naidu’s projects were either scrapped or reversed under Jagan’s rule.

This has sparked a debate: Was Jagan prioritizing development for the people, or was the goal to ensure that Chandrababu Naidu did not receive credit? If one claims to follow leaders like YSR and KCR, shouldn’t their actions reflect that philosophy?
