“There is no truth in the allegations of Jagan watching blue films and taking drugs. He has no such bad habits and we as parents inculcated ethics and values in our children. Allegations against him on enjoying luxurious facilities in jail are baseless. He is leading a normal life just like any other inmate in the prison. My son told me he was sharing toilet with two other prisoners and was provided with a bed, table and a fan. Jail Officials even didn’t allow home cooked food for Jagan. Can anyone call these facilities as luxuries?,” she questioned, apart from clarifying Jagan isn’t misusing mulaqats as alleged by the political parties and people were meeting him only during the time entitled for him by the Jail Officials.
Vijayamma even mentioned about the Special CC cameras installed in Chanchalguda jail to capture the movements of the leaders meeting Jagan during the mulaqat period. She also felt bad that political rivals have been making baseless allegations against her husband late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, daughter Sharmila and daughter-in-law YS Bharathi.
