Jagan government leading AP into great disaster

It is very well known that few to none of the schemes that the Jagan government has introduced has resulted in being vaguely fruitful for the state of Andhra Pradesh. They are either highly flawed, or are absolutely blasphemous, causing nothing but problems – the best example being the 3 Capital issue.

Keeping aside all the so called welfare-schemes and policies that the government has introduced so far, the worst possible thing that the Jagan government is doing is probably driving AP into a well of debts it can never come out of, if the situation continues to be this worse, well, that’s what the TDP is saying at least.

Members of TDP are saying that the Andhra Pradesh government has already met 68% of its annual debt limit, and that too in the first quarter of the financial year itself. This leaves out just 32% debt limit until April 2021, which is very less. The reason for these debts can undoubtedly be pointed at the way the government is spending money – in a reckless and unyielding fashion.

Telugu Desam Party members are also saying that the government has borrowed a whopping amount of 33,294 crores, and has spent 54,335 Crores on a whole. They are saying that the government used 60% of the debt amount for its general expenditure, which has resulted in a revenue deficit of Rs. 27,067 Crores. Out of the total expenditure of Rs. 54,335 Crores, the government spent only Rs. 6,193 Crores on Capital investment – that which yields profits or returns – like long term assets and infrastructure. The remaining amount went to the salaries of government employees, pension amounts, and other welfare schemes the government has introduced.

The TDP is questioning YSRCP’s intent in wanting to do good to the people. Several senior politicians are saying that if the government keeps on making more and more debts, the ultimate burden will fall onto the people of the state someday or the other, and they will have to end up paying for the sins of the government. If the government is short of money, then it shouldn’t go wasting money like this, and come up with plans that will actually increase the revenue of the state.

They are also saying that the AP government has been behaving in a very incompetent and egotistical manner ever since it came to power, and is not ready to sit down and rectify all the damages it has done so far. The government looks as though it is interested in creating more trouble and turning it into a disaster.
