In the wake of furore over the resignation of 16 YSR Congress MLAs by the party leaders of Telangana , party senior leader and MLA G Srikanth Reddy and another MLA P Nani met the party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Chenchalguda jail here on Friday.
It is learnt that Srikanth Reddy, who quit the MLA post, explained the reasons for quitting the posts by 16 MLAs from Seemandhra region in support of united Andhra to Jagan. Reddy informed his party leader that relinquishing posts was the option before the MLAs to protest against the centre’s reported move in favour of telangana.
Speaking to newsmen at jail premises, the party MLA said that the resignation of the party MLAs was an individual decision and not party’s decision. He said the differences arised between Seemandhra and Telangana leaders on the resignation of the MLAs will be sorted out before the party honorary President Vijayamma very soon. He also said that the party will clarify its stand on the bifurcation of state very soon.
