YSR Congress Party president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has raised concerns over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s silence regarding alleged large-scale vote tampering in Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to the media, Jagan claimed that the total votes in the recent state elections inexplicably increased by 12.5% between polling day and counting day — an additional 48 lakh votes. “Why is Rahul Gandhi not addressing this?” he questioned.
Jagan further alleged that Rahul Gandhi maintains close contact with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu through Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, which, according to him, explains his reluctance to comment on AP’s electoral irregularities.
He also criticized Manickam Tagore, the Congress in-charge for Andhra Pradesh, for speaking against him while remaining silent on Chandrababu Naidu. “He has nothing to say about Chandrababu, yet constantly talks about me,” Jagan remarked.
Highlighting alleged corruption, Jagan accused the TDP government of irregularities in the Amaravati capital city project and discrepancies in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). “Many scams are happening in Andhra Pradesh, yet the Congress chooses to stay silent,” he said.
Jagan concluded by questioning the political ties between Congress and TDP leaders, suggesting that their mutual silence over controversies indicates a possible backdoor arrangement.
