The recent episode involving veteran actors Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly has stirred major discussions across both political and film circles.
The issue began when BJP MLA Kamineni Srinivas raised a point in the Assembly, which was later taken up by Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna. During his speech, Balakrishna made a few sharp remarks about Megastar Chiranjeevi, which soon became the center of debate among fans and political observers.
Reacting to the incident, former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy made strong comments about Balakrishna’s behavior. When asked by reporters about the MLA’s remarks and Pawan Kalyan’s silence on the issue, Jagan said,
“Balakrishna came to the Assembly in an inappropriate state. Allowing him to speak was a mistake by the Speaker. His behavior and speech clearly reflected his mental state. He should examine his own conduct before commenting on others.”
Earlier, after Balakrishna’s comments in the Assembly went viral, Chiranjeevi issued a calm statement clarifying that he did not see it as an insult to the film industry. He also mentioned that during their earlier meeting, then Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy had treated him and other film personalities with due respect.
This ongoing exchange has now become one of the most talked-about topics in Andhra Pradesh, blending politics, cinema, and personal remarks into a single heated debate.
