R. Madhavan Stranded in Jammu & Kashmir Floods, Assures Fans of Safety
Heavy rains are lashing both Telugu states, causing streams and rivers in several districts of Telangana to overflow in an unprecedented manner. Reports suggest that dozens of lives have already been lost due to the floods. While Telugu media has been extensively covering the rainfall and flood situation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the severe conditions in Jammu & Kashmir have gone relatively unnoticed. The region too has been experiencing record rainfall, forcing authorities to rescue and relocate thousands of people to safer areas. For the past few days, flight services have been suspended, leaving many travelers stranded.
Among them is actor R. Madhavan, who has been stuck in Jammu & Kashmir for several days. He had traveled there for a film shoot and has been unable to return due to airport closures and the lack of transport facilities. Madhavan shared his struggles on social media, explaining the hardships he is facing. Through an Instagram audio note, he also recalled how he had been stranded during heavy rains and floods in Ladakh back in 2008. Seventeen years later, he finds himself in a similar situation, though he assured fans that he is safe.
Madhavan noted that despite the severe downpour and flooding, Jammu & Kashmir remains a beautiful place. He expressed hope that once the rains subside and flights resume, he will be able to return home soon. He mentioned that during the 3 Idiots shoot in Ladakh years ago, he had faced a similar ordeal and had to stay back for several days.
Fans have been expressing concern for the actor on social media, sending messages and posts enquiring about his well-being. Madhavan confirmed that he is currently in a safe location, and close sources reassured that there is no need for panic. Once the weather improves and flights are operational again, the actor is expected to return home safely.
