Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of legendary actress Sridevi, has carved out her own identity in the film industry. With a strong presence in both Bollywood and Tollywood, she is steadily building a name for herself and staying busy with back-to-back projects.
Janhvi made her Telugu debut opposite Jr. NTR in the highly anticipated film Devara, where her performance and appearance were widely appreciated. She is also expected to reprise her role in the sequel, which is said to give her even more prominence on screen.
Currently, Janhvi is working alongside another Telugu superstar, Ram Charan, in director Buchi Babu Sana’s upcoming sports drama Peddi. The rural backdrop-themed movie is progressing at a brisk pace and is slated for release in March next year. Reports suggest that Janhvi recently joined the film’s set.
Interestingly, her remuneration in Tollywood is also making headlines. For her debut in Devara, she was reportedly paid ₹5 crores. However, for Peddi, her fee has increased to ₹6 crores, showcasing her growing demand.
What’s more, Janhvi was also approached for a key role in the upcoming Allu Arjun–Atlee project. Allegedly, she quoted a whopping ₹7 crores for the role. Negotiations are ongoing, with the makers requesting her to reconsider the figure, but sources say Janhvi is standing firm on her demand.
Industry insiders suggest that Janhvi seems to be following the footsteps of rising star Sreeleela, who is also known for commanding high paychecks. However, producers still find Janhvi’s North Indian appeal valuable, believing her inclusion could help their films reach wider markets.
As her star continues to rise, Janhvi Kapoor is making strategic moves in Tollywood — both in terms of roles and remuneration — that are turning heads across the industry.
