With the Rajya Sabha elections approaching on February 7th a lot of discussion is happening on who is going to enter the fray. From Congress side, this has become a prestige issue and they have to win. But in Andhra Pradesh, another interesting chapter is unfolding.
JC Diwakar Reddy is reportedly trying to contest as a rebel candidate and he is gathering his strength from all parties. Many are saying this is something Jagan should have contested. But neither Jagan nor his party is fielding anyone. JC has taken this as the chance and is moving forward with guts.
But observers say more than JC’s guts it is the smartness of Jagan because if he entered the race he must win. For JC, it will not make any difference even if he loses. Already, he has announced that he is planning to field his son for the general elections so he is just taking a chance and if luck permits he might get some more years as a Rajya Sabha member and enjoy the power.
