Director Arrested For Rape Charges
Mahmood Farooqui, husband of ‘Peepli Live’ director, held for rape charges and the news has been going viral. The director has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a US-based woman around three months ago. The woman who filed the case and registered FIR was, a 30-year-old research scholar of Indian origin. The police officials have accepted the case and then called in Farooqui for a questioning session and it subsequently followed by the arrest of the director. He is now sent him to 14 days judicial custody.
Farooqui’s wife, the filmmaker Anusha Rizvi said that the complaint against her husband was ‘manipulated and false.’ The police officials were now on the case and also questioning few other important people associated with this case. More details officially are expected to be out soon!
