Chennai: Actor and politician Kamal Haasan on Monday praised the Central Government for its decisive response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and lauded the armed forces for their bravery under Operation Sindoor. In a statement shared on his social media platform ‘X’, Haasan said the operation had sent a clear message to the world that India will not bow to terrorism.
“This is not a moment for triumphalism, but for reflection—to learn, to fortify, and to rebuild in the service of a stronger India,” Haasan said. He emphasized that victory must lead to vigilance, and that a truly strong nation is one that continues to think and evolve.
Haasan commended the Indian armed forces for their valor and dedication. “You are India’s pride—ever watchful, ever brave—guarding our borders and our peace with unwavering commitment,” he wrote.
He also acknowledged the resilience of the people in regions most affected by the crisis, including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, and praised the unity and solidarity displayed by citizens across the country during this challenging time.
