Ugliest state of an argument is nothing but pulling castes into the fray. Whether it is incidental or accidental, Nandi Awards row took such castiest turn with some camps describing them as pro-Kamma awards.
Amidst this juncture, a talk has come out that Allu Arvind has intentionally helped the jury pick Boyapati Srinu for 2016 Best Director Award (BN Reddy Award). Why so? He wants to snub Sekhar Kammula who is the actual choice for the award, the rumors read.
Presumably, these rumors haven’t gone well with Kapu community as WhatsApp and Facebook posts started circulating immediately about it. Some posts argued that as the awards smeared Kamma color, now some people are intentionally dividing Kapus by saying that Allu Arvind sidelined Sekhar, thereby adding Kapu color both on politics side and victims side. They say Boyapati is picked because he became close artistic-aide of CM Chandrababu, taking K Raghavendra Rao’s position for Telugudesam party, but not due to Allu Arvind.
Also, another post reads, “When Allu Arvind can’t get an award for his own son (Bunny), can he really overthrow Sekhar Kammula to favor Boyapati?”.Anyway, an analysis led to some uproar in Kapu circles, but the end of the day Posani doused their fire for sure!!
