Is the star Bollywood director and producer getting ready to join the team of magnum opus Baahubali? If we have to believe some insider reports, the news sounds true. Rajamouli’s forthcoming 100+ crore budgeted Baahubali is surely getting bigger and better each day.
A day after big news is heard about Baahubali’s Tamil version rights being sold at a whopping price of 27 crores, here comes another stunner. With a huge star cast like Prabhas, Anushka, Rana, Ramya Krishna, Tamanna, Satya Raj, Nazar and others, surely Baahubali is going to be huge for Telugu audiences.
Though Prabhas isn’t a happening face in Tamilnadu, probably all the other star-cast will help get the much needed attention. Though Rajamouli is a known face and has universal appeal in India as a director, star cast is important in amassing huge box office numbers.
Okay, anyway theatrical rights of Telugu and Tamil are already sold out, but what about Bollywood now? None of the main faces including Prabhas and Anushka are well known in Bollywood, except the fact that Rajamouli’s ‘Makki’ (Eega in Hindi) has done well there.
To overcome this lack of familiar faces, Baahubali team is now trying to enter a deal with producer Karan Johar for the film’s release. If they could Karan on board as a producer in Bollywood, undoubtedly his production house Dharma Productions will look after the pre-release publicity and release. With Karan on board, we know how much impact a film creates before release. Wait for updates.
