Very few South stars succeeded in making their mark in Bollywood. Including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, most of them failed to sustain in B-Town, since Bollywood spectators and filmmakers won’t show interest on south stars. Recently, Ram Charan also made disastrous entry with Zanjeer remake, despite presence of Priyanka Chopra. Coming to actual point, Nag’s son Akhil is testing his luck in Hindi like his dad did long ago.
Akhil’s debut flick Akhil is nearing completion and the VV Vinayak directorial is slated to release on October 21st. Currently, the film unit is canning songs and entire production work is expected to be wrapped up by October first week. Buzz is that, this film will be remade in Bollywood and most importantly top filmmaker Karan Johar is willing to introduce Akhil to Hindi. Apart from Karan, few other Bollywood biggies are also keen on making film with Akhil. Nonetheless, Karan’s offer is juicy!
All depends on Akhil’s result. If the film clicks at box office, then the film’s remake will be Bollywood ticket for Akhil. In order to catch attention of national media, Akhil signed popular brands as his first assignments like Titan watches, Mountain Dew soft drink and Karbonn mobiles. Hope, Akhil will make Akhil a superstar in Tollywood and pave him way for Bollywood.
