Karnataka joins Maharastra in IPL fight against BCCI!


It is known that Maharastra Government mentioned its opinion of postponing or rescheduling the IPL matches that will be held in their state, considering the COVID-19. Responding to this, BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly strongly stated that IPL matches will happen as expected in all the venues and BCCI will take care of the hygiene aspect.

Now, Karnataka Government too joined Maharastra in avoid IPL matches in their state. It is known that a Techie in Bangalore was identified with Corona Virus and he is said to have touched 2700 people. The Karnataka Government declared holidays for the schools near the IT zone and asked all the IT companies to check their employees regularly for the symptoms.

In this situation, mass gathering like IPL matches will spread Corona Virus rapidly, is the Government’s version. In spite of BCCI taking all the precautions, there are high chances for the virus to spread in the stadium. Stating the same, Karnataka Government wrote a letter to the Central Government to postpone or reschedule the IPL matches in their state till the situation is under control.
