Praveena Paruchuri’s Directorial Debut ‘Kothapallilo Okappudu’ Set for July 18
After proving her mettle as both an actor and producer, Praveena Paruchuri is now stepping into the director’s chair with her debut film ‘Kothapallilo Okappudu’ — a quirky romantic tale set against a rural backdrop. Backed by Paruchuri Vijaya Praveena Arts and presented by Rana Daggubati, the film is gearing up for a theatrical release on July 18th.
The story follows Rama Krishna, a simple small-town guy who is madly in love with Savitri. She is well aware of his feelings and one day asks him to meet her at a haystack. Rama Krishna arrives, full of hope and excitement. But what unfolds is anything but ordinary — the narrative hints at a deeper, possibly divine mystery hidden within this rural love story.
Though the story is penned by Gurukiran Bathula, it is Praveena Paruchuri’s directorial vision that stands out. The film features Manoj Chandra and Monika T in the lead roles, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Praveena Paruchuri, Usha Bonela, Ravindra Vijay, and Benerjee.
Visually, the film benefits from the lens of cinematographer Petros Antoniadis, while Varun Unni’s background score elevates the emotional beats of the narrative.
With its refreshing storyline, rooted setting, and strong creative team, Kothapallilo Okappudu promises to be a unique rural entertainer with a mysterious twist.
