A major political development shook Telangana as the BRS suspended KCR’s daughter, Kavitha, following her allegations against Harish Rao and other senior leaders of conspiring against KCR and engaging in corruption.
Addressing the media, Kavitha made strong remarks against the party’s top leadership, excluding KCR. She also revealed a personal rift with her brother, KTR, stating that he had been completely inaccessible to her.
“I texted KTR Anna 24 hours before Raksha Bandhan to tie him the Rakhi, but I received no response. It has been over 100 days since I could speak to him,” Kavitha said. While KTR reportedly made efforts to secure her bail and even went to Delhi to receive her, a communication gap seems to have existed during this period.
Insiders suggest that Kavitha was largely isolated from party activities, with limited support from even KTR. She further alleged that while Harish Rao manages TV and media coverage for BRS, KTR oversees social media, yet failed to intervene when false campaigns against her spread online.
This development highlights growing tensions within the BRS, particularly within the KCR family, and has set off intense speculation about the party’s internal dynamics.
