The reports confirm that TRS is likely to join NDA government very soon. They say Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi today and finalize the deal. They also added that KCR’s daughter K Kavitha may become Union minister.
Senior leaders like Jithender Reddy, Keshava Rao and Vinod are lobbying hard for the coveted post. But it is learnt that KCR already said that the cabinet berth is reserved for his daughter, Kavitha. This move of KCR will be a political master stroke as it will put a check to BJP’s growth in the new state.
It is interesting to see how BJP approaches the upcoming GHMC elections as it will have to choose between their old ally, TDP and new partner TRS. Also this tie-up will increase the headaches of bifurcation tussles as Center is unlikely to choose one from both the friends in solving the issues.
Center is already criticized for being inept in solving the various problems between both the Telugu States. Things will only get worse from here. On the other side there are rumours as well that TDP will come out of the NDA government if AP is not properly satisfied in the upcoming Union budget.
