K. Kavitha, president of Telangana Jagruthi and daughter of K. Chandrashekar Rao, visited the sacred Tirumala Venkateswara Temple on Thursday after receiving a clean chit from a Delhi court in the alleged Delhi liquor policy case.
Kavitha arrived at Tirupati Airport along with her family before proceeding to Tirumala for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Speaking to the media at the airport, she addressed several issues, including the court’s decision in the liquor case and speculation surrounding her possible entry into a new political venture.
In a notable moment, Kavitha raised “Jai Andhra” slogans while addressing supporters in Andhra Pradesh — reportedly the first time she has done so publicly. She said the court’s clean chit brought immense relief after what she described as nearly four years of hardship.
“By God’s grace, I have finally received a clean chit in the liquor case after years of suffering,” Kavitha said. She added that her family has deep faith in Lord Venkateswara and that her visit to Tirumala was to fulfil a vow.
Kavitha also thanked her supporters in Andhra Pradesh who stood by her during the difficult period. She further expressed hope that the blessings of the deity would guide her future political journey, especially amid reports that she may soon launch a new political party.
During her visit, Kavitha and her husband received a warm welcome from senior YSR Congress Party leader and former MLA Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy, who personally accompanied them.
Meanwhile, large banners welcoming Kavitha were reportedly put up in Tirupati and Srikalahasti, featuring photographs of both Kavitha and K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Sources say that the families of Kavitha and Madhusudhan Reddy share a long-standing personal friendship, which explains the warm reception extended to her during the visit.
