After recently targeting Harish Rao, Telangana Jagruthi president and former Rajya Sabha MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha has now turned her fire on senior BRS leader Joginipalli Santosh Rao, just ahead of his scheduled appearance before the SIT in the phone-tapping case.
As the investigation intensifies, Kavitha made sharp and explosive allegations, squarely blaming Santosh Rao for the internal unrest within the BRS. She alleged that he was the first leader to inflict serious damage on the party’s organisational strength, deeply hurting grassroots cadres and loyal workers.
According to Kavitha, Santosh Rao deliberately fuelled internal disturbances and played a key role in distancing committed Telangana movement leaders from both the party and KCR. She claimed that the exit of several senior leaders was not coincidental, alleging that Santosh Rao systematically weakened the party from within.
Escalating her attack, Kavitha accused Santosh Rao of acting as an informant for Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. She alleged that sensitive political and personal information related to KCR, including details of his private movements, was being regularly shared.
Kavitha also questioned how Santosh Rao could possibly escape accountability under the present government, expressing surprise over the continued support he reportedly enjoys from senior BRS leaders like Harish Rao and KTR, despite what she termed serious allegations.
She asserted that if the law is applied impartially, Santosh Rao would not be spared. With his SIT appearance scheduled later today, Kavitha’s remarks have added significant political heat to an already sensitive and high-profile investigation.
