Apparently angered over not getting a cabinet berth in the BJP led NDA government, TRS MP K Kavitha seems to have targeted the Prime minister Narendra Modi’s government on every issue.Kavitha has been trying to join the union cabinet but the political equations in Telangana did not allow her to raise the heights in the political career.
Kavitha’s father KCR chose to stay away from joining as partner in the NDA government fearing nearly 12 per cent Muslim population will give up their support to the KCR government.In a fresh incident, TRS MP K Kavitha cornered the BJP led NDA governmetn in Lok Sabha during the debate on a bill for the abolition of child labour. She said it was unfortunate that successive governments failed to curb the social menace even as many acts were in forces.
Girl child labour and girl trafficking has been a major problem in the country. She said the bill introduced by the government to abolish child labour has many loopholes. Kavitha found fault with the government for introducing the bill without addressing the critical issues.The TRS leader demanded the Prime minister to sent the bill to the Select committee for detail study and then only introduced in the house for the final approval.
It was not new that Kavitha tored into BJP government on different issues. In the past, she raised the safety of Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir and demanded the protection of their constitutional rights. She also spoke about dalit rights in the Lok Sabha.
