Telangana chief minister KCR is has already released Rs 500 crore for the Dalit Bandhu scheme in Huzurabad. On Monday, another Rs 500 crore was released. With this, a total of Rs 1000 crore has been released for the implementation of the scheme in Huzurabad assembly constituency alone. If sources are to be believed, the State government is planning to release another Rs 1000 crore very soon.
Clearly, the government is according top priority to the implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme in Huzurabad. Thus, each Dalit family would get Rs 10 lakh into their accounts as part of this scheme. The government appears quite committed to implement the Dalit Bandhi scheme in a systematic manner in the Huzrabad constituency. Chief Minister KCR has already said the government was ready to spend up to 1 lakh crore for the comprehensive and complete implementation of the scheme across the state. He said Huzurabad was only a beginning.
While the TRS government is claiming that this scheme would be a game changer, the opposition parties, including the BJP and the Congress are claiming that the government is using the scheme for buying votes. They said that the government was bribing voters. The government is using the public money to buy the votes of the Dalits in Huzurabad assembly constituency. They said that the scheme has led to the growing demands for the implementation of the same scheme among the BCs and the poor among the upper castes.
Huzurabad will soon go to the bypolls. The bypolls have been necessitated due to the resignation of Eatala Rajender from both the TRS as well as the assembly seat. He has since joined the BJP and is now its nominee from the Huzurabad constituency.
