It’s common knowledge by now that the Telangana Rashtra Samiti has 77 MLAs although it won only 63 MLAs in the general elections 2014. No, it doesn’t require a special skill or higher-level intelligent quotient (IQ) to find out the exact reasons for the steep increase in the number of MLAs of TRS. Several TDP MLAs, YSRCP MLAs and Congress MLAs have ditched their parties and joined the TRS.
Shooting a straight question to KCR, Loksatta party chief, former Kukatpally MLA and ex IAS officer Dr Jayaprakash Narayan asked, “How did you get 77 MLAs when people gave you only 63 #TrsJumpJilaani.” JP demanded the Speaker to intervene in the matter immediately as the people of respective constituencies have not voted for TRS.
JP warned that this kind of dangerous trend of switching political parties after elections would end up people lose their confidence on democracy and elections. JP said, “I demand the Hon’ble Speaker to disqualify all the members who changed party.”
Questioning the same, JP along with his Loksatta partu workers has sit up on a Nirasana Deeksha at Indira Park on Saturday. At the same time, he didn’t even spare TDP chief, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. He asked Naidu to prove his honesty, sincerity amidst the unravelling of cash-for-note case.
