Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao entrusted Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao a big task.
KCR held one to one meeting Harish and asked the latter to intensify efforts to lure Congress and TDP leaders. The TRS Supremo wanted Harish to bring all senior leaders in TDP into his party fold before Sankranthi festival.
Harish informed KCR the progress in the consultations with rival party leaders. After TDP working President A Revanth Reddy joined Congress, the ruling TRS intensified efforts to lure the yellow party leaders. Harish already brought Revanth’s followers from the latter’s Kodangal Assembly constituency into TRS fold recently. The party’s readiness in case bye -election is necessitated in Kodangal constituency was also discussed as Revanth is planning to quit the MLA post by December end.
Harish was also holding talks with many Congress legislators and leaders which includes Sampath, DK Aruna, Komtireddy Venkat Reddy etc.
As the TRS was struggling hard in finding suitable candidates in 30 Assembly segments, Harish was given responsibility to scout for suitable candidates from other parties to win the 2019 elections.
